Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) has inducted boardroom guru and Ondo State indigene, Abayomi Adeyeri, into its Alumni Hall of Fame.
The recognition is seen in various quarters as a fitting tribute to his extraordinary contributions, recognising his unwavering dedication to leadership, community development, and alumni unity.
The Owo native’s contributions to his home state of Ondo have been substantial, with notable investments in education, healthcare, and community development.
Through the foundation founded by him and his siblings for his late mother and the first female Dean in the old College of Education, Ikere Ekiti, Professor Florence Bola Ala, the philanthropist has supported numerous initiatives, including scholarship programmes, infrastructure development, and skills acquisition schemes, empowering countless individuals and uplifting communities.
A statement read: “Abayomi Adeyeri’s remarkable odyssey is a testament to the transformative power of purpose and passion. A proud son of Owo, Ondo State, he has etched his name in the annals of corporate history, leaving an indelible mark on the business landscape.
As a trailblazing business executive, he has navigated the complexities of the corporate world with aplomb, earning recognition and respect along the way.”
Adeyeri holds a BSc (Botany) degree from Ondo State University (1990) and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maiduguri (1994).
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management as well as the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. He is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Credit Administration.
