Emmanuel Agida, a visionary leader and passionate advocate for youth empowerment, has been awarded an Honourary Doctoral Fellowship in Youth Development and Humanitarian Services by the Chartered Institute of Public Resource Management and Politics (CIPRMP) in Ghana. At just 20 years old, Agida becomes the youngest recipient of this honour, recognised for his groundbreaking contributions to youth leadership and social development across Africa.

Agida’s career is marked by significant milestones. At 17, he became Nigeria’s youngest political appointee, serving as a Special Assistant to an Osun State Commissioner in 2021 and member of the media board of the state’s Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Affairs. By 18, he was named the youngest West Africa Youth Ambassador. As a media manager for a senior director at Coca-Cola, he further honed his communication and PR skills.

A prolific entrepreneur, Agida is the founder of several successful ventures, including Memoir of Africa, EA Media, and Bezoni. His leadership extends to his role as Chairman of the West Africa Youth Fellowship and the Emmanuel Agida Foundation, where he has spearheaded initiatives impacting over 3,000 young Africans. His foundation has provided vital aid to displaced families and terrorism victims in Nigeria, addressing food insecurity and offering scholarships to help children return to school. Recently, the foundation donated 1,000 learning aides to students, reinforcing his commitment to education and youth empowerment.

Agida is also an accomplished author of three books and a member of the World Economic Forum. His educational achievements include a certificate in international politics from the International Business Management Institute in Berlin, Germany, and an entrepreneurship certification from the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

CIPRMP, established in 1995 and chartered in 2005, is dedicated to promoting governance probity, ethical business practices, and leadership excellence. The institute empowers its members through rigorous training, conferences, and professional certifications, equipping them to drive social and economic progress. With its headquarters in Ghana and offices in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, and Kenya, CIPRMP is instrumental in shaping future leaders in both the public and private sectors.

During the award ceremony, Dr. Ani Freeman, Executive Director of CIPRMP, praised Agida as “a beacon of integrity and leadership.” Freeman emphasized that Agida’s record stands as a testament to his dedication and unwavering commitment to ethical governance. “Emmanuel Agida exemplifies the values we uphold at CIPRMP. His work inspires not only his peers but also the broader community in Africa and beyond,” Freeman noted.

In his acceptance speech, Agida expressed heartfelt gratitude, highlighting the award’s significance in his ongoing mission to drive youth-led change. “This award from CIPRMP is a profound honour. It reinforces my commitment to advancing good governance and empowering the next generation. I dedicate this recognition to my late father, Hon. Pius Agida, and all the young people who tirelessly contribute to our nation’s growth,” he stated. Agida also affirmed his dedication to leveraging his platform within CIPRMP to foster impactful change and development across Africa.
