Expert urges employees, managers to engage in collaborative leadership
An international psychotherapy trainer, Ches Moulton, has called on employees and managers of corporate organisations to focus more on collaborative leadership in other to build a focused, knowledgeable, and formidable team.
Speaking at a leadership-training event held recently in Lagos, Moulton stressed on the need for individuals in companies to be able to manage themselves, their organization and the responsibilities of their establishments.
He urged individuals to find perfect operational procedures that better lifts the organisation, adding that frequent change in process affects business performance.
While talking to representatives of various organizations, he said it is difficult for people who do not have good relationship with themselves to maintain good relationship with others and this will affect individual’s performance, which leads to poor productivity.
“I focused on the individuals and not the organization because the individual is not just one, you are an individual in your organization but you as an individual also exist outside your organization; you have your personal life, your friends, your family and relationships outside of work. So there is more to individual than individual in an organization.”
