Soar Communications has called on students to embrace the principles of innovation and effective leadership to boost nation development. At a day training of students in Lagos, the firm said that as a country, it was important for the young ones to be innovative, as only original ideas can salvage dearth of quality leadership in the country.

Delivering a keynote address on ‘Innovation and Creativity: The Hallmark of 21st Century Business,’ Abiola Laseinde, urged the students to embrace innovation and creativity from the point of leadership.

She said: “As a self leader, most importantly you should be able to demonstrate how innovation and creativity can create a niche for yourself and tell a compelling story.  If it is going to be in any form of leadership or creativity, the innovation starts from you as an individual. What do you aspire to be? What kind of impact do you want to create?”

Similarly, a guest speaker, Isaac Adegbenro, said for the progress of the country, embryonic idea must be evaluated and developed into usable ideas. He told the students to make a move and look for people who can buy into their ideas “because to achieve creativity, one has to go through and the process of discovery and inventions.”
