A good cause organisation, Dr. Helen a Hand to the Needy Foundation, has provided financial support to small and medium scale entrepreneurs (SMEs).

The Foundation, owned by Dr. Helen Oritsejafor, who recently launched a book titled ‘You Too Can Become a Success’ said the Foundation was committed to imparting knowledge to SMEs across the country affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To further aid struggling businesses, Oritsejafor, at the launch, said 50 per cent of the proceeds from the book sales would be given as grants to business owners through her foundation.

She said she wrote the book to inspire individuals to visualise the reality of experiencing a life of all-around success despite the challenges life throws along the way.

She said each chapter was dedicated to strategies of businesses or organisational success irrespective of economic challenges.

She awarded to the beneficiaries, who applied for the support and passed through intellectual business training, financial empowerment ranging from N300,000 to N500,000 to support their businesses.

A beneficiary, Bernard Anomuogharan, from Delta State, who was elated by the support, commended the author’s selflessness. He said she was involved in various philanthropic activities such as scholarship foundation that awards scholarship to indigenes, from primary through secondary to the tertiary level, as well as the poverty alleviation scheme.

Another beneficiary, Anita Brown from Lagos State, said she had a difficult experience due to the pandemic and was immensely grateful to the author for her immeasurable support, adding that she was looking forward to building her business under the author’s tutelage.
