Group elects new co-operative executives




The Co-operative Multipurpose Society of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL) and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), have elected the Chief Accounting Officer, LUTH, Reuben Adeleye, as the new president of the society.

Adeleye, who was the former acting president of the Co-operative Society emerged winner during the Society’s 51st yearly general meeting held recently in Lagos.

Other executives include; Vice President, Taiwo Adewole; General Secretary, Yomi Adeniyi; treasururer, Robert Ojaloma; and Financial Secretary, Otusanya Gbenga, who were also elected to steer the Co-operative’s affairs for the next two years.


The new president-elect, who appealed to members and management for further support and collaboration, noted that the mission of the Society in mak life worthwhile for its Co-operators and members by filling the gap in their domestic lives would be the his administration’s utmost priority.

“The essence of establishing a Co-operative Society is to make life easier for co-operators, by assisting them to acquire some items that would ordinarily be out of their reach and we promise to continue in this pursuit,” he added.
