Igbinedion varsity teaching hospital appoints Bazuaye CMD

The Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital (IUTH), Okada, Edo State has appointed Professor Bazuaye Godwin Nosakhare, as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD).

The Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital (IUTH), Okada, Edo State has appointed Professor Bazuaye Godwin Nosakhare, as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD).

A statement by IUTH Public Relations Officer, Mr. Moses Uyi Osaretin, said Bazuaye is a Haematologist and stem cell trasplantologist and  had his MBBS from the University of Benin.

The Professor pioneered the first successful stem cell transplant for the cure of sickle cell in sub sahara Africa and the only African who is an international JACIE inspector for the accreditation of hospitals in Europe and Africa.

Until his appointment, Prof. Bazuaye was a Consultant Haematologist at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, (UBTH) and has over 23 years experience in teaching, research and administration in university and teaching hospitals.
