Old Ife varsity law class gets new executive committee


The University of Ife Law Class of 1987 Association has elected a new executive committee.

The electoral committee, headed by Dean, Law Faculty, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Debo Olagunju, announced that at the close of nominations, the previous office holders, except one who opted out, were all returned unopposed.

Consequently, Caleb Arogundade returned as President, with Justice Jumoke Aiki (rtd) as Vice President of the incorporated body.

Others are: Mrs. Jumoke Nwachukwu (Secretary); Mrs. Saseyi Feyijimi Ibiyemi (Assistant Secretary); Ladipo Soetan (Treasurer); Mrs. Caroline Akinbiyi (Financial Secretary) and Sunny Awonuga (Public Relations Officer).

The rest include Alali Tamuno and Motunrayo Egbe as Welfare Officers I and II, while Tunde Adejuyigbe and Mrs. Fausat Bamgbose are automatic members of the executive committee by virtue of being class admins.

Besides, the set is holding its 35th post-graduation reunion on November 19, 2022 at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The returning president, Arogundade, made the announcement in a statement issued and signed by the PRO, Awonuga.
