Sanwo-Olu restates commitment to workers’ welfare
Commissions ASCSN secretariat
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned the permanent secretariat of members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), Lagos State chapter, reinstating his commitment to workers’ welfare.
The commissioning of the secretariat located in Ikeja was held shortly after the celebration of the International Workers’ Day.
Sanwo-Olu, at the event, said he would continue to prioritise the welfare of workers.
Chairman of the ASCSN, Lagos state branch, Olusegun Balogun, said the commissioning of the secretariat was part of the effort of the Executive to deliver on their promise to provide a befitting permanent secretariat for members.
He said the branch, over the years, had operated in rented apartments, and that it was high time the branch had its permanent secretariat.
While commending Sanwo-Olu for prioritising workers’ welfare, he urged other state governors to emulate their Lagos state chief executive.
He added that “it is imperative for any government or any employer of labour to prioritise the welfare of workers.”
