Security firm, Proton celebrates ISO re-certification, award

Security service provider, Proton, celebrated ISO re-certification and award as the Best Security Company of the year 2018.

According to the firm’s General Manager, Lt Col. Segun Atanda (Rtd), the firm established in 2003 with presence across the country, has strived for excellence and distinguished itself in the area of rendering professional security services.

“Proton is now a household name in the security Industry. During the past year, we were able to upgrade our ISO re-certification by Standard Organisation of Nigeria (son) from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO9001: 2015 and also won the Best Security Company of the year, by American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS chapter 206),” he added.

He hinted that the company injected new branded fleet of vehicles and motorcycles into its operations to facilitate effective patrol, which helped boost its efficiency last year.

The Managing Director, Col Ademola Onalaja (Rtd), said to satisfy clients, Proton has a large workforce, thereby reducing unemployment, saying the firm also meets the demands of the staff and pay salaries promptly.

He added that there are insurance policies that protect the guards in case of mishaps.

“The guards are unarmed and they most times encounter armed robbers. If they sustain injury in the course of discharging their duties, apart from the firm paying their hospital bills, the insurance takes care of them,” he said.

In appreciation of the contributions, which endeared clients to Proton, six guards were honoured for their dedication, honesty and hard work.
