President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu as the substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Oyo State.

The appointment, which took effect on August 5, 2026, was announced by the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade.

The Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations (CICPR), Mr. Sunday Adepoju, disclosed this in a statement, quoting the Registrar.

Before his appointment, Adelabu was a Chartered Accountant and Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.

According to Akinpade, the new Rector had served the institution in various administrative capacities, including Head of Department, Dean of School and Deputy Rector (Administration).

He said Adelabu’s wealth of experience, academic contributions and administrative competence would contribute significantly to the continued growth and development of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede.

With the appointment, Adelabu becomes the second substantive Rector of the institution.

The Registrar, on behalf of the Polytechnic’s management, staff and students, called for the support, cooperation and commitment of all stakeholders as the new Rector assumes office.

He expressed confidence that Adelabu would provide purposeful leadership and advance the vision and mission of the institution.

Akinpade also conveyed the goodwill of the Governing Council, management, staff and students to the new Rector, wishing him wisdom, strength and success as he leads the Polytechnic to greater heights.
