The Managing Director of the organisation, Lekan Ewenla, who announced the appointment, expressed optimism that with the passage of the National Health Insurance (NHI) law, the new board would be partnering health insurance authority to improve the well-being of Nigerians.
According to him, the board of Ultimate Health will work with relevant bodies and focus on taking the bull by the horn to make the organisation, the leading health insurance player in the country.
Ajala will drive a five-year business growth agenda of the company as one of the leading health maintenance organisations in the nation’s health insurance ecosystem. As a pioneer investor in the organisation, having been part of the organisation since its inception, she is bringing her over 30 years of cognate experience in the corporate world to bear on the company.
Ajala has been the Executive Director, of Ladela Schools since 1997.
She has been an active member and two-time National President of Business and Professional Women (BPW).
In her acceptance speech, Ajala described her election as a call to higher service and duty with a responsibility to the greater community.
“Having spent over 10 years as part of the Ultimate Health family, serving as a board member has given me ample opportunity to observe, contribute and understand the dynamics and workings of the health insurance ecosystem.”
Other board members include the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lekan Ewenla, non-Executive Directors, Muhammed Alhassan, Adekunle Ewenla and Susan Giwa-Osagie.
Others are, Independent Non-Executive Director, Abdulaziz Abdullahi and Dr. M.S.D Bob-Manuel, who represent the interest of the minority shareholders.
