Adekunle Gold’s video, ready, out

Adekunle Gold has released a new video for his latest single Ready, which was produced by YBNL in-house producer, Pheelz. It was mixed and mastered by Simi, with guitar by Fiokee.

The video, directed by Adasa Cookey, is not only entertaining, but tells a story in a manner that is defining. The video sees YBNL Nation act, Gold, at his best. The story revolves around him and his quest for love, during which time he sees happy couples all around. He sings about his frustrations at not having a girl to call his own, explaining why, despite being single, is still searching for the right woman.

The visuals brilliantly tell the story of the song, and his expressions make for a fun and lively video. The transitions from scene to scene are seamless and the story ends with Adekunle finally finding a girl to love.

Gold first came into limeight with his hit Sade, which opened the door for him to ink his deal with YBNL Nation. It was followed by his second single, titled, Orente and has since become a household name in Nigeria. He is expected to release his debut album sometime this year.
