‎Fobally Art World Africa, Saviorite Ventures Limited and RCCG City of David are seeking to address limited access to exhibition space and buyers for Christian artists through a two-week art exhibition in Lagos, with selected artists expected to display and offer their works for sale.
‎
The exhibition, tagged Creation Speaks, will hold from October 18 to November 1, 2026, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island, with free entry for members of the public.
‎
Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Founder and Chairman of Fobally Art World Africa, Folashade Abiola, said the initiative was strategic and designed to empower professional artists, both masters and emerging artists across different age groups, by providing a platform to showcase their works and connect with prospective buyers.
‎
Abiola said many artists operated from their studios but struggled to find galleries willing to exhibit their works, limiting their access to potential customers. “A lot of artists, they have their studio, but they don’t have the space to show their artworks,” she said.
‎
She added that the exhibition was open to a broad range of artists, with the organisers receiving registrations from artists ahead of the event.
‎
Abiola said the artworks would be available for sale, offering participating artists an opportunity to reach buyers through the exhibition.
‎
She, however, said the initiative was in its early stages, with plans for further activities to be developed as it progresses.
‎
The exhibition will also provide opportunities for younger artists to learn from established practitioners, while encouraging greater engagement with visual art within the church and surrounding community.

Exhibiting artists include Dr. Stella Awoh, Dr. Kunle Adeyemi, Dr. Abiodun Kafaru, Dr Aderinsoye Aladegbongbe, Pastor Tunde Olanipekun, Segun Alonge, George Egujobi, Pastor Fidel Oyiogu and Pastor Peacemaker among others.

Representing the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG City of David, Pastor Kayode Pitan, Pastor Trevor Akindele, said the church’s involvement was partly driven by its desire to encourage young people with an interest in art.
‎
He said the exhibition would enable younger artists encounter more experienced practitioners, learn from them and build relationships that could support their creative development.
‎
Akindele added that the church intends to use the exhibition as an outreach opportunity by bringing members of the surrounding community together through art.
‎
National Elder of RCCG and CEO of Saviorite Ventures Limited, Pastor Jide Aiyegbusi, said the exhibition’s impact was linked to its Christian purpose.
‎
He said a team of experienced artists would review submissions and select works based on their creativity, medium and suitability for the exhibition’s theme, adding that 146 artists had registered as of two weeks before the briefing.
‎
The exhibition is expected to showcase works reflecting the beauty, glory and power of God’s creation, with the organisers saying it also aims to inspire faith and spiritual reflection through art.
‎
According to the organisers, the exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, installations and mixed-media works, alongside live art sessions and artist talks. It will also feature leading Christian artists from across Nigeria and beyond.
‎
Aiyegbusi said funding for the initiative would come from three organisations: Fobally Art World Africa, Saviorite Ventures Limited and RCCG City of David.
