CORA/Arterial calls for participants
CORA/ARTERIAL Nigeria is calling on Port Harcourt-based artists and creative entrepreneurs to participate in the Arterial Network Integrated Cultural Management Programme.
The programme, which is supported by Africalia and Department of Theatre and Film Studies, University of Port Harcourt, will empower 24 creative entrepreneurs, 12 in Lagos and 12 in Port Harcourt.
The organisers noted that this call is for artists and creative entrepreneurs based in Port Harcourt only. The training phase of the Lagos programme has just been completed and will resume with review sessions in September.
The programme is scheduled as follows: before the training, selected participants will be asked to fill a skills audit in order to identify their training priorities and monitor their progress; a set of goals for participants’ practicals will be agreed upon before the training and the training phase consists three workshops of 2 days each on arts marketing, project management for arts and culture as well as arts fundraising.
The practicals would be done over a four-month period and each participant will be required to utilise the skills developed during the workshops in a work environment of their choice.
After the training is completed, each participant will be asked to send a report on the challenges still being experienced and two months after the training is completed, participants will be able to review progress in a one-day workshop on common challenges and a one-hour individual session.
