According to him, this edition, the third in the series, will start in the first week of May 2021 with regional competition, while the grand finale will be held at the Archdiocesan level in July 2021.

He said the event with the theme ‘With a Father’s Heart’, will showcase performances by representatives from various parishes competing in four categories namely cultural dance, drama, contemporary singing, and comedy.

Communication Manager, The Catholic Herald, Tony Kelechi Agbugba, said since its inception, the festival has lived up to its billings in discovering highly talented artists and entertainers, some of whom have become household names in Nollywood.

He said that over 50 parishes have participated actively in the festival.

Agbugba stressed that through the festival, they hope many more talented youths make inroads into the mainstream entertainment industry where they would serve as role models for others youths and true ambassadors of Christ.

He noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the regional event will be held online with participants expected to upload six minutes videos of their entries on an app LCN and a dedicated YouTube channel. “Parishes with the largest number of likes would emerge regional winners and in turn perform live at the grand finale in July 2021 with great prizes to be won.”
