Myro drops Lagos to Soweto video


Ahead of the release of his new album, fast rising artistes Oghenemairo Daniel Ozah, otherwise known as Myro, has dropped video for his single, Lagos Soweto. Shot in Lagos and directed by Ceelah Rex, the video for the feel good song, which was released under Guardian Music, is gradually gaining airplay on TV stations across the country.

“I drew experience for the video from my life in Lagos and South nightlife. We didn’t sell exquisite though; we pushed the youth culture and idea of having fun and laughter, while driving the fact that you can merry with what you have,” Myro explained.

A multi-award-winning and versatile singer/songwriter, Myro grew up in Surulere area of Lagos. As a child, he was tutored performance art by the legendary Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs at the Abbey Junior Mixed and Infants School, Ikeja. He grew up listening to the likes of Shabba Ranks, Plantashun Boiz and Kanye West, while Jimi Solanke remains his icon.

Aside from his music career, Myro is the king of merchandising and T-Shirt designing; he is reputed for the famous Alobam merchandise by Phyno, while his recent merchandise for his hit single Odi Ok, remains is in high demand with over 5000 units sold offline.A graduate of Architecture, he is also reputed to have done the largest graffiti painting in the biggest theme park in sub-Saharan region of Africa.
