Ozzmanic drops ‘Afro Lover’

From Canada with love’were the unspoken words as the aspiring music star; Ozzmanic sneaked to Nigeria a couple of weeks ago. Armed with a couple of new songs, Ozz as fondly call by his close allies, intention in the country is not far-fetched as the new kid on the bloc played host to few selected fans, friends and music critics for what could be best describe as private ‘listening session’.

However, ‘Afro Lover’, the new single off his upcoming EP titled ‘Rainbow’, is among the more sonically African songs that got the nods of the respected music critics who were present at the listening session. Produced by Duktor Sett, ‘Afro lover’ showcases a person who is trying to get his start in the bubbling Nigerian music scene, by conducting his own investigations into the Afropop world. Despite the mild tempo, ’Afro Lover’ is in equal parts compromising and as straightforward as the typical romantic Afro-pop track.

Young and interesting, Ozzmanic, very passionate about Rap, emerged in the Toronto music scene as a Trap artiste in 2013 with two singles tilted ’Benjamins’ and ’One Question’ featuring Jinmi Abduls. Surprisingly, Ozzmanic discovered that what had become his signature sound in Canada wasn’t good enough for him to officially announce his arrival in the current Nigerian music scene, hence the release of ‘Afro Lover’.

With the rejuvenated and more mature music style, Ozzmanic seems ready to stamp his authority from the start by doing songs that will not only capture the minds of music enthusiasts but also carve a niche for him in the highly competitive music industry.

Premiered online without the usual hypes and fun fare, ‘Afro Lover’ is currently enjoying ample media review and burning the music charts of some of the popular radio stations in Nigeria.

While the music video of  ‘Afro Lover’ is scheduled for release in weeks time, and Ozzmanic is also putting finishing touches to his highly anticipated  EP titled ‘Rainbow’ that will hit the music shelve in 2018, the sound boy is leaving no stone unturned in search of a perfect drive to hit the top at one shot.

Speaking on his new single, Ozzmanic said, This is long overdue and It’s good to be home after few years in Canada and I think ‘Afro Lover’ is a perfect song to whet the appetite of my new found fans and followers in Africa, Nigeria. With my forth coming EP titled Rainbow, a couple of singles waiting to be released and the video for Afro-Lover, Sky is the starting point for me.”
