St. Lawrence’s Catholic Men Organisation feast in honour of women
According to the parish’s chairman of CMO, Francis Pius, “the feast is part of activities marking this year’s celebration of St Valentine’s Day.”
He said, “while so many of us would be in our offices on that day, February 14, and may not even be back home on time because of traffic situation in the country, we have decided to use this opportunity to celebrate our wives.”
He said, “our women would be treated to an unforgettable evening of spiritual connection, singing, worshiping and Valentine party with God.”
The vice chairman, Paul Eghieye, said, “February 10 was chosen, because this seems to be the most appropriate time since next weekend would be our election, the hangover, may not really give us opportunity to have the kind of feast we desire,” adding, “very soon, the church will enter Lenten season, we need to do this fast.”
Eghieye said there would be cultural displays, couples’ game, dance competition and lunch.
The event begins at the parish’s new site by 12:00pm.
