Us-based Nigerian artist, Samzy, has released anew single, titled, Red Dots. The song features Mavin Records’ hot kid, Rema.

The song, which is massive airplay, with impressive numbers across digital streaming platforms, is the first single off the rapper’s forthcoming EP, titled, TrendSetter, billed to drop in a few months time.

Red Dots is a trap sound-based record, which mirrors the hustling lifestyle of the everyday young adult. The video, shot on locations in Dallas and Los Angeles by Patrick Elis, has gathered over 200,000 views already in its first week of release.

Samzy, who is originally from Edo State, relocated to the United States at a very young age, recording music while he was 15 years old in high school.

In 2016, while studying commercial music and business management at Collin College, Texas, Samzy’s musical journey got a major push after he was featured in a school project EP. His single named, Rollie, went viral on and off-campus, thus, leading to the birth of his fan base. In November 2019, he dropped a record titled, Chains, thus kickstarting his professional career.

As Samzy currently wraps up the ‘Trendsetter-EP’, the rapper says the project will be a reflection of him as an artist, as he’s keen on birthing a new sound/style that is influenced by fusing Afrobeat, Caribbean and trap sounds.
