Fast-rising gospel artiste, Adeola Adebisi Oyinbo, popularly known as De-Ola, has released her maiden album titled Spreading Jesus. Born in Islam, De-Ola, who found Christ while at university, is set for a divine mandate campaign to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The campaign will be a six-month project (from November 2016 to April 2017) and it cut across four continents and five countries.

The 14-track album, according to her, is inspired by testimonies of people, who have listened to her songs. A member of the choir of Christ Embassy, De-Ola recorded her first song titled Something about you’ in 2010 and has since not looked back.

Recalling her experience with family after becoming a Christian, De-Ola said, “My dad stopped paying my school fees; he publicly denounced me and, for two years, we didn’t see, but today we are best of friends.”

On her take on gospel music, the public relations graduate and mother-of-two said a lot of gospel artistes today don’t know why they are into gospel music and so they gradually infuse circular music in it.

She said, “For me, it is not about making money but to spread Jesus to the world; that is why I work to fund my music. I put in my money to finance the work of God.”
