Ann Godwin is a multiple award-winning investigative journalist known for courageous, high impact public interest reporting. She currently coordinates the South-South Bureau of The Guardian Newspaper Ltd and she has led her team to spearheaded groundbreaking investigations that has triggered government interventions and earned them national award. over the past six years, Godwin has won about 10 awards, including prizes from the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Reporting (WSAR), WSCIJ -ReportWomen Programme and the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA), where she emerged Female Reporter of the Year, among others. Godwin is a Fellow of the WSCIJ Report Women Programme, the South African Data Hub Community (Orodata Science), and the Dataphyte Climate Lab. She is also an alumna of the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Her investigative reports have been cited in postgraduate research in Germany and Scotland. She has participated in over 30 professional conferences and workshops, and has secured several national and international grants.
