Omiko Awa is the Assistant Production Sub-editor, Guardian on Weekend. Before attaining the position, he had covered, religion, politics, features, underground economy, and arts and culture beats, alongside the coordination of weekend production. He has a series of award from different theatre troupes to his credit. As a utility player and multitasking journalist, Awa is now on general beats, editing and writing stories from any beat. Aside his official duty, he undertakes research works and involved in book editing. A multiple award holder, Awa is currently the Head of Communication, The Africa Foundation (TAF); Team Lead, Palms Plus Ventures, a publishing outfit; and the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of The Sphere Post (TSP). Awa has authored a collection of books for children, young adult and general read.
