One person has been confirmed dead while two others were rescued after a building collapsed in Lagos.

The incident occurred at an abandoned two-storey building around Haruna Bus Stop in the Ikorodu area of the state.

The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Joseph Ilesanmi.

Emergency responders were deployed to the scene following the collapse as rescue efforts continued

The incident has again raised concerns over the safety of abandoned and distressed buildings across Lagos, particularly structures that pose risks to residents and passersby.
