Bank rewards customers with N35b

Another batch of beneficiaries has emerged from the ongoing Fidelity Bank Plc promo to reward loyal customers in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, bringing the number to over 7,000 across the country.

Fidelity Bank said about N3billion cash has been expended on its savings reward promo across Nigeria.

Divisional Head, Retail Bank, Richard Maduebu, represented the Regional Manager, Mrs Vanessa Mordi, disclosed this at Apo Mechanic Village, in Abuja, where 12 customers smiled to the bank with cash rewards ranging from N500,000 to N150,000 for operating savings account with the bank.

“This reward scheme is to appreciate our loyal customers and show that in Fidelity Bank, we care about the welfare of our customers, and there is no better way to demonstrate this than to practicalise it in naira and kobo for everyone to see. They are the reason we are in business and we have to make them feel appreciated,” he said.

Maduebu continued: “We have given out about N3billion cash to 7,109 of our customers in this promo since its commencement about five years ago. And for this Northern Activation about N74million will be rewarded to about 190 savings account customers made up of 130 for the Fidelity savings account, and 60 for the children’s account, which is for us school fees support.”

He further explained that: “For Apo Mechanic Village, we have twelve winners including two children with each of the children getting N150,000, some others N250,000 and the big one N500,000.” Also, surprise gifts showered to customers during the draws, prompted wide jubilation among adult beneficiaries in Apo District, which attracted a huge crowd with many of them scrabbling for the savings form to open an account immediately with the bank.

Explaining how winners are selected, he said: “we just select numbers randomly from our branches in the Northern region and throw them into a pool and pick winners from there.”

Maduebu assured all customers they will win one day, as the promo is an ongoing thing moving from location to location. He said a Special Loyalty Selection reward offer will be extended to the first 100 customers in Apo Mechanic Village, to open an account with Fidelity Bank.

Some of the customers who were rewarded included: Dr Nnena Ogbulafor, Okechukwu Emilia, and Musa Usman, were surprised at the gesture and commended the bank for the package. 

The Chairman, Apo Mechanic Village, Chima Oriaku, urged all traders and FCT residents to patronise Fidelity Bank for the reward and empowerment scheme, which he noted was commendable. “All our members will continue to bank with Fidelity Bank and those who are not already banking will surely switch very soon,” he concluded.
