Bayer unveils solutions for agro-allied sector, others at Lagos fair




To drive government’s diversification agenda, Bayer Middle Africa Limited has concluded plans to offer solutions needed to enhance productivity in the agro-allied sector through its support products and innovations at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair.

With a range of life science products cutting across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, crop protection, seeds and high-tech materials, the firm noted that participation at this year’s fair will help it take advantage of the special emphasis given to agricultural support products, scientific innovation, scientific technologies breakthrough, medication, pharmaceutical and healthcare by the organizers of the fair.

The firm explained that as an innovative company that develops products and solutions to improve life, based on vast research and development activities as well as understanding of the biochemical processes in living organisms, its presence at this year’s trade fair is a unique opportunity to tap into business opportunities that support the Nigerian economy to better diversify and grow sustainably.

“As global company now operational in Nigeria as Bayer Middle Africa Ltd., Bayer’s participation in this year’s Trade Fair in Lagos is a positive development for the Nigerian economy towards sustainable growth in a diversified economy.

“The growing and increasingly aging world population requires improved medical care and an adequate supply of food. “In the eight days Trade Fair, Bayer will make her presence known, with representation of the Pharmaceutical, Consumer Health, Crop Science, and Covestro (formerly Material Science) products, and will be providing technical support and assistance at the Trade Fair ground”, a statement from the firm read in part.

For its pharmaceutical division, the firm stated that its focus is on prescription products, especially for cardiology and women’s healthcare, and on specialty therapeutics in the areas of oncology, hematology and ophthalmology.
