Continental Re announces prizes for 2018 awards

Pan African Re Insurance firm, Continental Re, has announced prizes for finalists in the 2018 Pan African Re/Insurance Journalism Awards.

Pan African Re Insurance firm, Continental Re, has announced prizes for finalists in the 2018 Pan African Re/Insurance Journalism Awards.
   
According to the firm, Finalists of this year’s awards stand a chance to win a fully paid trip to attend the awards ceremony and CEO summit that will take place in Swakopmund, Namibia; a cash prize and a two-day training on journalistic and writing skills following a recommendation by judges last year. And journalists would be issued with certificates upon completion of the training.
   
“We are confident that 2018 prizes will bring on board seasoned journalists, who are ready to change the tide in terms of Re/Insurance reporting,” said Dr. Femi Oyetunji, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Continental Reinsurance.

 
Oyetunji stressed that the journalism awards are now in full gear with reporters from both French and English-speaking African countries sending through their submissions to beat the January 31st deadline. Interested participants can submit their entries online via the Awards website.
 
The three categories in the 2018 awards include: Pan-African Re/Insurance Journalist of the Year; Best Re/Insurance Industry Analysis and Commentary; and Best Re/Insurance Industry Feature Article.
   
Continental Reinsurance initiated the awards in 2015 to recognise and acknowledge the good work of media on the continent.
