Just as the new set of winners emerged at the weekend in the ongoing Get Alert in Millions promo of Fidelity Bank Plc, the lender said N31 million would be won, with several consolation prizes in the remaining two months.

Specifically, on Friday, the draws conducted at the bank’s head office in Lagos, saw six persons win millions, while 12 others got consolation prizes- fridges and generators.

Egwuonwu Izuchukwu of Enuowa branch, Lagos zone, won N3 million; Mercy Azih of Minna branch, North zone, won N2 million; while Shedrach Trinity Ovat, Abuja zone; Ndor Ifeyinwa Eunice, South South zone; Amarachi Edith Okonkwo, South East zone; and Adams Jamiu Alade, South West zone, got N1 million each.

At the end of the seventh draw, the Fidelity Bank said it had given N74 million in cash and 84 consolation prices of fridges and generators to more than 128 winners.

The General Manager, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Fidelity Bank, Ken Opara, said the exercise was in keeping with promises of rewarding loyal customers for their savings with the bank, which also supports financial inclusion project.

“We think that saving is a very important ingredient of investment, and if you don’t save, then you will not be able to have anything in the day of need. So today, Fidelity Bank is rewarding our customers for being loyal, for saving with us, and helping themselves too,” he said.

The Chairman, Promo Committee and General Manager, Apapa Region, Fidelity Bank, Obaro Odeghe, said the bank had recorded significant growth in its deposits through the promo.

“The results are there in public domain, and our bank, apart from growing in that regard, our customer base in the saving arena has also grown. So we’ve achieved a lot of mileage in that regard in the last couple of years,” Obaro added.

But speaking on the transparency of the promo, the Senior Manager, Business Development, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Nwakuche Durugo, said: “The process is done in simple way. It is transparent and everybody was given an equal chance. This is what Fidelity Bank has done in all its promotions I have witnessed.”
