Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Director General of NITDA, said that Nigeria has huge youth population who are ICT native eager to explore ICT for economic diversification.

Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Director General of NITDA, said that Nigeria has huge youth population who are ICT native eager to explore ICT for economic diversification.

“Nigeria is the giant of Africa, a country with an approximate population of 180 million people dominated by the youths whom are ICT natives eager to explore ICT for economic diversification and also a safe haven for ICT Investments», he said.

Dr Pantami made this assertion while addressing the gathering at the Interim Meeting of World Electronics Forum, which forms part of activities at the ongoing Computer Electronics Show (CES) taking place at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

The DG also stated that “NITDA is at CES to network, brainstorm, learn from other nations and professionals in the industry with the aim of fostering the growth of Information Technology in Nigeria”.

Pantami who led Nigeria’s delegation at CES also held a meeting with representatives of Communications, Multimedia and Infrastructure (CMAI), India, to collaborate in areas of Capacity Building, Digital Job creation and Technology transfer.
