Indomie has rewarded several schools and individuals who won in the just concluded Indomie ‘You Like No Other’ (YLNO) promotion with gifts ranging from school bus, drum set, printer, generator among others, which is in line with its contribution to the education sector.

The promo, which kicked off in October 2016, has so far produced 330, 000 winners with no less than 10, 000 schools across the country in both the product and cash categories.

Our Lady of Mount Camel Nursery and Primary School won the grand prize, a brand new deluxe school bus, with many other schools and individuals winning other prizes such as: premium power generating sets; music instruments; photocopying machines; sport kits; public address systems and Indomie Bukas among others.

The General Manager, Indomie, Girish Sharma said the prize presentation was to officially close the Indomie YLNO promotion by handing over the school bus and gifts to the winners who participated.

noting that the promo, which is in two categories that included individuals and schools, was conceived to celebrate the uniqueness in everyone, recognise and reward consumers of the brand with over N600 million prizes and as well support the education sector.

He said: “It is a tough time for the Nigerian consumers and we thought this was our own way of rewarding and taking the burden off their shoulders and also a way of giving back to the society. We also make students and schools feel that Indomie cares for them by making the promo open to them as well.

“Over 330,000 consumers have been rewarded in the YLNO promo and Indomie is keen on fulfilling every promise made to consumers. We thank our consumers for having faith in the brand and also for their participation.”

Also speaking, the Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc., Tope Ashiwaju explained that the brand saw the need to invest in schools as a way of contributing to the education sector aside from rewarding the consumers.

“Today’s prize presentation ceremony is organised to show to the world that the promo is real. The amount invested has been used to ensure that schools benefit from it aside from being a consumer promo. The schools that participated have been properly rewarded,” he said.

He added that the on going ‘Cash for Scholarship Promo’ is another avenue for consumers to participate and win lots of prizes. Receiving the school bus, the Supervisor, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Nursery and Primary School, Rev. Sis. Gertrude Emadago commended the brand saying it was a difficult task for the school to gather the characters needed, adding that the bus would go a long way, as the school is known for adventure.

Also representatives of Schools and individual winners at the event expressed joy and delight towards the brand for fulfilling the promise made. They explained the surmountable task they had to face to become winners of the promo, while also thanking the brand for the gifts received.
