RIMSON holds conference on risk management
The essential place of risk management in the evolving global socio-economic development is to take the centre stage at this year’s Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON), as it holds May 3 and 4, 2017 conference in Lagos.
The President of the Society, Engineer Jacob Adeosun, said, professionals, especially risk managers, bankers, insurance firms, and managers in government have the duty to always apprise themselves with knowledge about the growing risk environment, in order to add value to the society, as well as to their individual practice.
According to him, the theme paper, entitled: “Risk management and the changing global paradigms” will be delivered by the Managing Director of Integrated Cash Management Services Limited, Leon Jacobs, while the Guest of Honour is the Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode.
In order to further enrich the quality of the talkshop, other key papers such as “Disaster Management and Business Continuity: A risk overview”; “Cyber risks, Cybercrime and cyber protection, from Desk to Board room” have also been identified for deliberation.
Similarly, “Risk Management in Governance, the Lagos State Model”; “Risk Management in the Changing insurance business model and Risk Management in a fluctuating oil price environment” are to be featured.
Aside from the resourceful professionals and top notch who have been invited from varied backgrounds and fields to do justice to all the papers, the highpoint of the Conference will be the induction of new members and Fellows into the fold of RIMSON.
