Insurers seal deal with TEF to mitigate business risks

Heirs insurance and Heirs Life Assurance have revealed plans to provide easy insurance packages to support beneficiaries of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF).

The Chief Marketing Officer, Heirs Insurance and Heirs Life, Ifesinachi Okpagu, described the joint venture as timely and of immense value to entrepreneurs.

The timely insurance intervention is to address the fear of loss caused by a post-COVID-19 to the economy while demonstrating the mission of the foundation to empower African entrepreneurs and catalyse the continent’s economic development.

Okpagu noted that both firms give premium attention to entrepreneurship on the belief that it is critical to the development of the economy.

Speaking on the value of the partnership, the Director, Partnership and Communications of TEF, Somachi Chris-Asoluka, said events of the past year have triggered the need to train entrepreneurs on the importance of risk mitigation.

Chris-Asoluka, saying that the core mandate is to empower African entrepreneurs across 54 African countries with training, funding, mentorship and other valuable resources that will enable them successfully operate their businesses to create socio-economic hope for the continent.
