Mikano dismisses allegations against chairman

Mikano International Limited has refuted reports linking its Chairman, Mofid Karameh, with alleged criminal activities, describing the claims as false and defamatory.

In a statement, the company said the allegations were “entirely unfounded, baseless, and defamatory,” stressing that at no time had Karameh been involved in, investigated for or associated with any form of illegal activity.

It stated that the claims amounted to “a gross misrepresentation of his character and the values he upholds.”

Mikano said it had, for more than three decades, built a solid reputation grounded in integrity, transparency, and responsible business conduct across Nigeria and beyond, adding that it remained deeply concerned by what it described as the spread of unverified information capable of misleading the public and harming both personal and corporate credibility.

The company urged its partners, clients and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety.

It also disclosed that it was reviewing all available legal options and would take appropriate action to defend the reputation of its chairman and the organisation.

“Mikano International Limited is currently reviewing all available legal options and will take appropriate action to defend the reputation of our Chairman and the organization,” the statement said.

The firm added that it remained committed to excellence across all sectors in which it operates and expressed appreciation for the continued trust and support of its stakeholders.
