NAICOM okays Casava microinsurance, others underway

Following the approval of the Casava Micro-insurance Limited to operate as a State Composite Micro-insurance Company, transacting Life and General Micro insurance Business in Lagos State, there are hopes that more are underway as applications and inquiries are on the rise.
 
This was made known by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) spokesman, Rasaaq Salami, in a statement made available in Lagos.
 
According to the him, Casava Microinsurance is one of the successful companies among several applications that would receive approval and license to operate.“The company, thus becomes the second full-fledged standalone Micro Insurance Operator in Nigeria,” it stated.
