Repackaged canoe soap unveiled in Ojuwoye Market

The new repacked look of canoe soap was at the weekend unveiled at the popular Ojuwoye Market in Lagos with many market women and shoppers having a feel of not just the new pack but also its content as there were opportunities to test the product, especially its friendliness on colour and fabrics.

On hand to explain the new look and provide insight on the content were staff and brand ambassadors of the product. The Senior Brand Manager, Canoe, Mr. Aro Olalekan Tajudeen, said that they decided to unveil the new look canoe at the market with plans to visit other markets across Nigeria in order to build better relationship with its trade partners. He disclosed that market activation of the product across open markets in Nigeria will last two weeks within which traders and consumers would be kept abreast of the new look product that is in four scales and packaged to be affordable and cater for all segment of consumers.

According to him, it is because the product is fabric and colour friendly made Da Viva, a fabric company to endorse canoe.

The Regional Sales Manager, Lagos, PZ Cussons, Mr. Ayodeji Adewale, said that the launch of the new look canoe at Ojuwoye Market and then other markets in Nigeria is an hybrid of above and below-the-line marketing efforts aimed connecting with the consumers. He however said that the concentration has been more on below-the-line, because its products are not picked on billboards but in market, which is the point of purchase.
