Caleb University honours Adeboye’s Wife with Doctorate, Graduates 1, 924

Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, has awarded degrees to a total of 1,924 students at its 15th convocation ceremony, during which the wife of renowned cleric Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Foluke Adenike Adeboye, fondly known as Mummy GO, was conferred with an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.

The graduating class comprised 1,625 undergraduate students, 299 postgraduate students and 22 doctoral candidates, making the event one of the most remarkable convocations in the university’s history.

Academic performance was equally impressive, with 96 undergraduates graduating with First Class honours, 719 earning Second Class Upper Division, another 719 obtaining Second Class Lower Division, while 82 students finished with Third Class degrees.

In the postgraduate category, 46 students graduated with distinctions, 143 earned merit grades, and 88 completed their programmes with pass grades — further underscoring the institution’s strong academic culture.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, congratulated the graduating students and described the convocation as “a defining chapter in Caleb University’s unstoppable ascent within Nigeria’s higher education ecosystem.”

He reiterated that since assuming office on June 2, 2025, his administration has been guided by a Seven-Point Agenda focused on creating a godly environment for dream fulfilment, promoting academic excellence, strengthening research and innovation, expanding local and international collaborations, enhancing institutional governance, encouraging entrepreneurship and sustainability, and advancing climate and environmental responsibility.

“Our vision,” he said, “is to produce graduates who are not just certificate holders, but solution providers, innovators and nation-builders.”
