Educationist seeks improved funding of public schools

An educationist, Dr Ifeanyi Enukora, has urged the government to increase its funding to public schools to make them competitive and effectively position them to meet current trends.

Enukora noted that the private sector is doing quite well, which portends a positive development for the future.

Speaking at the 10th graduation ceremony of Christ College, Ikeja, Enukora enjoined the graduands to be of good character, and not give up when faced with challenges, reminding them that life itself is about ups and downs.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of FTN Cocoa Processors Plc, Akin Laoye, advised the graduating students to be diligent and determined.

The Head of School, Gbenga Abayomi, lauded the graduating students for their brilliance and exceptional qualities.

The Chairman of the school, Samuel Olatunji, congratulated the parents and expressed his appreciation for their cooperation.

“The philosophy of the college is to partner with parents and find ways of improving the quality of the students.
