‘Endure temporary discomfort to achieve your goals’

Mind Builders School

The 2025 graduating class of Mind Builders High School has been tasked to put up with temporary discomfort and embrace a structured lifestyle to achieve their goals.

The keynote speaker and an executive of Pram Media Concept, Tunde Ogunrekun, who gave the charge at this year’s graduation ceremony of the school, stressed the need for pupils to create workable and sustainable daily routines, be diligent, build up integrity, and develop serious work ethics quite early in life in order to sidetrack distractions.

Ogunrekun commended the graduating students for successfully arriving at the threshold of another academic odyssey, and enjoined them to avoid bad company if their academic exploits must be rewarding.

He commended the school for grooming the students, and charged the learners to do their bit by envisioning the future they want, and to work hard towards realising it.

Education Director, Mind Builders, Mrs Bola Falore, described the event as a celebration of years of hard work, dedication and growth. Falore added that the occasion was also to honour the achievements of the students, the commitment of their teachers, and the unwavering support of parents.

She commended the academic brilliance, talent, creativity, leadership and the many ways the students make the school a vibrant community, adding that the award ceremony tells a story of determination, perseverance and belief that effort leads to success.

“The character they have built, the kindness, perseverance and curiosity that they have learnt will serve them far beyond these school walls,” she said.

The Principal, Adekunle Agbelu, expressed satisfaction with the performances of the students, acknowledging their hard work, sacrifice and determination.

He said both the teachers and students put in extra efforts, including coming on Saturdays for additional tutorials. Agbelu charged the students to always hold on to the knowledge and discipline the school imparted in them, keep their dreams alive and put in efforts to reach the pinnacle of their dreams.

Chairman of the event, Mr. Sesan Obe, said the award ceremony is not only to celebrate the students’ academic milestones, but to ignite a fire in their hearts for greatness.

Obe, who is the Managing Director of Base Consult Limited, said that to be 21st-century relevant, the students must embrace the five building blocks of greatness, which are vision, discipline, courage, service, and faith.

“As you leave this school, remember that greatness is not a destination, it’s a journey. Every decision you make from today — what you read, who you follow, how you spend your time, is either building you up, or tearing you down,” Obe stated.

The best graduating student, Farid Aderogba, advised other students to be focused, reminding that hard work and perseverance always open doors.
