Group distributes free learning tools to students in Agege community

Head, Counselling unit of Agege Local Government Education Authority, Adegbose Abraham, has advised the Hausa speaking community in Agege to take advantage of the zero education project of Lagos State government to educate their wards.

He said through the scheme, learning materials, school uniforms, shoes and bags are given free to the students.

The Project Chairman, Adekunle Akorede, described the turn-out as impressive.

Akorede, also a member of Rotary Club said: “Rotary has different programmes for different months. For the zero education project, we were supposed to have our basic education programmes in September and October, but we decided to extend it to December because we want to deal directly with the stakeholders.”

On her part, Taiwo Ade-Lawal said the programme was meant to sensitise the audience on the importance of formal education and the zero project of Lagos State government.
