A Nigerian statistician and data analyst, Oladimeji Adewuyi, has earned a merit-based scholarship to pursue a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Georgia State University in Atlanta, United States, in recognition of his academic excellence and growing contributions to quantitative research, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

The scholarship marks an important milestone in Adewuyi’s academic journey, reflecting years of dedication to statistical research and the application of advanced analytical methods to address real-world challenges in economics, healthcare, and artificial intelligence.

A graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), where he earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Statistics, Adewuyi established a strong foundation in quantitative analysis through his undergraduate research, which examined time series regression analysis of Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from 2000 to 2019. The study applied statistical modeling techniques to evaluate long-term economic trends and demonstrated the practical value of quantitative methods in supporting evidence-based policy and economic planning.

Before securing the scholarship, Adewuyi had already accumulated professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence and quantitative modelling, working on projects that involved data visualization, predictive analytics and decision-support systems.

His outstanding academic record, research potential, and professional experience contributed to his selection for the competitive scholarship at Georgia State University.
