Ezemonye, who spoke at the 24th matriculation ceremony of Igbinedion University, Okada, where about 1,400 students took oath of good behaviour, urged the new students to keep their vow throughout their stay in the institution.

He stated that the 1,400 new intakes, included foreign students, who were admitted into various accredited academic programmes of the seven colleges of the institution.

“This unique composition reflects the university’s irrevocable commitment to diversity and inclusion in all ramifications.
“It is my hope that you will leverage on the unique opportunity of being in a cosmopolitan and inclusive community to promote the culture of unity in diversity and echoes of nation building,” Ezemonye said.

He commended parents of the matriculating students for rightly choosing to invest in their wards’ education, adding, “to invest in formal education is to push the limits of your world a bit further towards realising your full potential. By pushing your limits, you improve your ability to think creatively and come up with powerful and innovative ideas required for personal and national development.”
