Abia: 100 Women register for NDE’s food processing training

About 100 women have registered in Abia State to be trained in the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) food processing programme.

The State NDE Coordinator, Mrs. Buchi Ojei disclosed this to The Guardian during the flag off of sustainable agricultural development training in Umuahia.

NDE National Rural Employment Promotion Officer, Mr. Edene Paschal who represented the NDE Director General, Dr. Nadir Laban Argungu, said successful graduates would be grouped into cooperatives to access loans.

A past beneficiary, Mr. Brown Akwuegbe, while stressing the importance of the trainings, disclosed that after his graduation, he established and runs a profitable piggery farm, which has made him an employer of Labour.
