ABU provides accommodation for post-UTME candidates

It is another season of post Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) for Nigerian students who seek admission into various tertiary institutions of their choices.

The season usually comes with series of challenges particularly in the area of accommodation as students and parents travel far and wide for the written examination.

But the management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced that arrangement has been made for the accommodation of post UTME candidates of the university.

According to information from the students affairs division of the school, the accomodation is for candidates who are not able to get accommodation elsewhere.

The information revealed that while male candidates would make use of the gym at the school sports complex, the females are going to occupy the Ribadu/Alex halls of the school. They urged interested candidates to submit an evidence of their post UTME registration and a valid mode of identification.

A twitter chat @ABU_Campus who commended the school for their decision said: “ABU is one of the most applied institutions in the country, meaning applicants come from every corner of the federation, many who have never been to the northern part of the country. Making provisions for accommodation for them will not only make them feel safe but will also go a step further in affording them the opportunity to see for themselves the standard of living, facilities and the school environment they aspire to be.”.
