AXA Mansard launches TVC on benefits of health insurance

As part of efforts aimed at making Nigerians take on health insurance plan, AXA Mansard Health Limited, last week in Lagos launched a television commercial that highlighted the benefits of health insurance plan.
The television commercial narrated the experience of a man who visited a hospital but could not access health care because of a long queue of people waiting to be attended. The man could not even easily get a chair to sit while waiting to be attended to. After getting frustrated due to the wait, he decided to leave and just then, he got an AXA Mansard Health Card, which gave him access to the healthcare centre under the company’s health plan. With that, he was able to access healthcare quickly and his health issue resolved with no hassle.
The Chief Executive Officer, AXA Mansard Health Limited, Tope Adeniyi said that with its health insurance plan, it hopes to drive up Nigeria’s life expectancy rate. According to him, the goal of the organization is to provide Nigerians with high-quality care that is affordable.
He stated that “only 8.5 million Nigerians have any form of health insurance out of over 170 million Nigerians. This is why we are excited to launch the new TVC; it is a step in the right direction and would go a long way in sensitizing the public on the immense value of health insurance.”
Speaking on the cutting edge advantage of taking an AXA Mansard Health plan, Adeniyi said that with the health plan card, a holder is entitled to pre-booking services that would be done through AXA Mansard within hours.
“AXA Mansard Health has best-in-class products ranging from Personal & Family Plans, Group & Employees Health Plans, International Health Plans to Third Party Administrator Plans. These plans come with various features to ensure our customers can access excellent HMO services locally and internationally at affordable rates.”
He also said that the plan is technology driven with 24 hours, seven days call centre attending to customers. To ensure that a good number of Nigerians sign on to the plan, he said the plan is flexible and design to meet an individual taste and health interest. To ensure facilitation of quality healthcare by the healthcentre partners, he said all the partnering hospitals are paid promptly. He listed one other benefit to include plan holders having access to overseas care on a local plan, pre-booking service, access to hospitals nationwide and worldwide, International evacuation and customized benefits.
On his part, Head of Strategy, Planning and Marketing, Kola Oni, said that the new effort by his company is part of its pioneering innovative solutions to issues. He also claimed that it is the first media campaign aimed at driving the importance of having health insurance plan and encourage Nigerians to join the train of enjoying healthcare through not paying directly from the pocket.
