Be wary of scammers, VC warns admission seekers

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof Sulyman Abdulkareem, has advised members of the public to be wary of unscrupulous elements in the society who play pranks with the prospective students of the institution.

Pointing out that the university is yet to release any admission list, the vice chancellor advised candidates and their parents to be wary of fraudsters who are brandishing fake admission lists on the social media.

Abdulkareem also warned parents and their children that fake admission is criminal, according to the Federal Government, adding that on no account should anybody pay anyone to get admission slot(s). He said that anyone caught in the act would face the full wrath of the law

Reviewing his administration’s 23 months in office, the vice chancellor said that he had every reason to thank God because the university is waxing stronger than when he assumed office.
