Towards discharging its responsibilities to intending pilgrims, FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has partnered with the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The Director of the Board, Mallam Muhammad Nasiru Danmallam, disclosed this when he received a delegation of the Muslim Ummah of the FCT Command of NSCDC, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

He said the two government agencies have had a good working relationship over the years and would strive more to enhance their services to the FCT intending pilgrims.

Danmallam pledged to assist the Muslim Ummah of NSCDC in its activities, especially the welfare of their orphans and widows of the officers of the corps.

He recognised the role played by officers of the corps during camping of intending pilgrims and virtually all aspects of the Hajj operations and directed the Head of operations of the Board to facilitate the engagement of the ummah of the corps in all major activities of the board.

In his speech earlier, the Chief Imam of the Muslim Ummah of the FCT Command of the NSCDC, Sheik Usman, said the visit was aimed at smoothening the existing cordial relationship between the board and Ummah of the FCT command.

Usman stressed the readiness of the command to continue partnering the board in all aspects of its operations geared toward successful hajj exercise.
