Focused on promoting African beauty, culture, philanthropy and empowering young people for skills empowerment, cultural awareness, community spirit, and youth-led projects, the 2025 Miss Ebony Ambassador, an innovative pageant held in the United Kingdom recently was won by 17-year-old Miss Chidera Treasure.
Although the newly crowned Miss Ebony grew up in Nuremberg, Germany, and now resides in England, she has not lost touch with her Nigerian roots, even as it was her first competition and she won the pageant effortlessly.
Chidera attributed her victory in the competition with other brilliant and beautiful young ladies to self-confidence.
A standout student with A’ Level subjects like Economics, Business, History, others, she noted that her plan is to study criminology, with forensic psychology to gain a criminology degree, and study law.
On her goals and pet projects, the Chidera said: “In future, I may partake in the Miss Nigeria UK, but currently my main focus is representing the Miss Ebony Ambassador UK Innovative Pageant the best I can. My project will dwell on orphanages in Nigeria. I’m trying to raise money through my Gofundme campaign to help children back home.”
The beauty queen’s long-term goal is to use this experience as a stepping stone to enable her to go into other projects and opportunities in the beauty industry, she said.
The pageant, founded by Irene Eribo Ani, has grown over the last 10 years as a platform for cultural expression, leadership, empowerment and unity. It is aimed at building a legacy that celebrates African excellence, amplifies female voices, and connects communities globally.
