Circular Economy, sustainability tops agenda for second edition of Zero Waste Berlin Festival

The event which is scheduled to take place from the 17th-19th of September at Malzfabrik, Berlin, Germany is open
to both professionals and citizens.

According to the organizers, the second run of the festival will take place in person this year, with a program full of unique activities across three days.

“The international event is a space for citizens and professionals to learn, connect and share, all in the hope of building a greener future.

“With seven different categories of content, the event offers an international atmosphere, open to locals and international visitors looking to discover the most innovative solutions and resources.

“From solutions for Green Cities and Technology to Fashion and Lifestyle, Food Systems, Activism and Self-care, there is a wide variety of options to suit all interests and tastes.

The organizers noted “The Festival will begin on Friday 17th with a two-day conference program for professional attendees. Impact entrepreneurs, sustainable companies, investors, and scientists are among the attendees. Talks, panels, keynote speakers, and a full program of masterclasses will fill each of the days.

“The Experience Among the speakers we can find people like Raphael Fellmer, founder of Sirplus, Sophia Hoffman, Zero Waste chef, Alina Bassi, Fobes 30 under 30, Philipp Gattner, CEO of ReBuy or Franziska Voß from BSR. The full list of the speakers can be found on our website.

“On Friday from 17.00. the festival will open its exhibitors area that counts not only some of the most exciting companies in this space but also a dynamic range of activities.

“Circular City: Including exhibitors such as Noch Mall, BSR or BUND Berlin, attendees can discover the innovative circular solutions and access a variety of circular workshops, such as upcycling or discussion groups to find solutions for the future.

“Art Area: With representatives from the Social Art Award and hosted by the Institute of Art and Innovation in Berlin and its winner ZuKunst with the open island project, get creative in our specially-designed Art Area.
