Guaranty Trust Bank Plc restated its commitment to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) through its Food and Drink Fair, which had its second edition last weekend in Lagos. Going by the large turnout and colourful array of exhibition stands and assorted dishes laid out, it was obvious that the initiative had caught on among Nigerians.

Over 100 small businesses in Nigeria’s food industry were provided with free stands at the GTBank Food and Drink event that provided them a vibrant platform to connect with a wider segment of their target markets.

This year, the organisers went the extra mile to provide Master Classes, led by internationally renowned chefs and sales exhibitions by small businesses, and a Farmers’ Market, where SMEs involved in agriculture showcased and sold fresh and organic farm products, as well as a Baking Master class for children.

The Master Classes were led by Raphael Duntoye, chef patron of la petite maison, famous food and fitness expert, Kevin Curry, TV chef and pop-up restaurateur; Lerato Umah-Shaylor and renowned food blogger, Jehan Powell. Others included Ronke Edoho, founder of, Nkesi Enyioha, owner of HSE Café, Abiola Akanji of Red Dish Chronicles and Benedict Okuzu, the West African Chef Ambassador for German home appliance brand, Miele.

Also, a diverse range of restaurants were on ground to offer mouth-watering dishes, outdoor grills and thrilling entertainment as well as savoury wine tastings that enabled attendees experience an exciting and eclectic mix of undiscovered brands and household names.

While commenting on the fair, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Mr. Segun Agbaje, said, “We are delighted to return with the second edition of GTBank Food and Drink Fair.
