As part of activities to mark its fifth anniversary, Ikeja Electricity Plc (IE) has given away over N1.5 million in energy across its network to reward loyal customers and give them respite from payment of electricity tariff.
At an event held at its headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, the company also picked five customers and their partners to spend a one-day all-expense paid holiday at a five star luxury hotel in addition to a visit to Egbin power station.
Chief Commercial Officer, Ikeja Electric, Folake Soetan, said the loyalty programme was designed to reward and appreciate customers with track record of consistent payments and reflects IE’s customer focused strategy as it progressively evolves into a world class energy company.
Also, Head, Corporate Communications, Felix Ofulue said, “Our focus has always been on how we can improve the overall experience of the customer. We recognise that our business requires huge social capital and goodwill to thrive and as such we are constantly seeking out ways to express our appreciation to customers without whom we cannot survive. This loyalty programme is just one of our humble attempts at saying thank you for keeping faith with us as we improve on our services.”
The loyal programme involved the spinning of a digital wheel while lucky customers won N1,000, N2,000 and N5,000 at six locations including the headquarters in Lagos. Also, 40 jackpots winners were invited to the head office for the grand finale. Five customers emerged as champions and won an all expense paid one-day holiday.
One of the winner, Emmanuel Odoh, expressed delight at the gesture, saying his landlord just acquired a new prepaid meter a few weeks ago.
Odoh, who is due to marry in a month’s time, commended the company for the improvement in electricity supply, saying he enjoys constant electricity in Ojota where he resides.
